Trust Score methodology v1

This archive describes the version 1 calculation implemented in the July 9, 2026 scoring contract. The source link below is pinned to a fixed revision.

Which factors count

Version 1 includes each factor with a recorded value. Its weighted average is renormalized over those factors. A recorded value alone does not establish that its evidence has been reviewed. If no factor has a usable weight and value, the version 1 calculation returns zero.

Calculation and adjustments

Multiply each eligible factor by its weight, add the results, divide by the sum of eligible weights, and round to the nearest whole number. The weights belong to the score's recorded scoring version.

Add the recorded freshness decay and complaint penalty to that base, then clamp the result to zero through 100. A total of 70 or more is Trusted; 50 through 69 is Caution; below 50 is Avoid.

Historical reproduction also requires the original factor values, scoring-version weights, adjustment inputs, and evidence state at that time. This rule archive does not substitute today's data for those historical inputs.
