The short answer

Modo

Modo has paid us by bank transfer in about a day and has also bounced a redemption back refunded; that mixed record and unreadable terms keep it in Caution.

The verdict

“returned your redemption request and your SC has been refunded to your account” (Modo support email, May 2026)

Our own money has moved both ways at Modo, and that split is the story. One $117 bank transfer we requested on 2026-05-02 was sent to our nominated account on 2026-05-03, about a day. A second $117 request was approved and confirmed paid on 2026-07-15, though no delivery date was ever recorded in the email evidence. How each row is classified (confirmed delivered with a date, confirmed delivered with the date not recorded, declared failure, requested only) is set by the one shared payout rule on this site and printed in the redemption table beside this verdict, so it is not decided again here. An earlier request from the same test window went the other way: Modo “returned your redemption request and your SC has been refunded to your account,” which is a declared failure, not a payout. That is the whole first-hand payout file, and it is why redemption is Modo’s weakest factor.

Verification was not smooth either: our KYC log shows two cycles, one approved the same day and one rejected because a proof of address “does not meet document standards (name, date, address)” and had to be re-uploaded through the redemption flow. The bigger problem is the paperwork we could not read at all. When we scored the terms factor on 2026-06-14 (a review approved by Noah), Modo’s posted Terms of Service link returned a 404 error page: no redemption rules, no dispute terms, nothing. That opacity is why terms honesty sits low.

Our terms snapshot archive fills in what the dead link hid, and it trends against players. Between the December 2025 and March 2026 snapshots, Modo added a VIP liability waiver: players accepting VIP benefits release the company from claims, waive California Civil Code Section 1542, and agree to a covenant not to sue. Earlier revisions expanded the excluded-state list and moved arbitration from AAA to JAMS. Outside our own file, Trustpilot showed 4.5 of 5 across 7,673 reviews at our 2026-07-03 refresh, with 18% at 1 or 2 stars; the negative slice in our sample raised account closures, KYC problems, redemption delays, and unresponsive support. We have not corroborated those third-party complaints first-hand, so we report them as reviews, not findings.

Modo is 21+, offers a postcard AMOE, and was unavailable in a large share of the states we track as of 2026-06-15 (California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida among them). The $100 minimum redemption is high for the category, and with zero reader reports and no logged support interactions, the support read is unproven either way. If you play here, use our record as the playbook: verify your payout details, start with one redemption just over the minimum, and confirm it lands before scaling up. Until the live terms are readable and the payout file grows past a few $117 requests, Caution is the right tier.

Terms honesty 50

50/100, mixed (50–69).

Rubric band (methodology)

The Terms honesty factor (0-100): Scoring framework for terms transparency:
- 90-100: clear language, no hidden caps, redemption rules stated up-front, no class-action waiver, dispute resolution accessible
- 70-89: mostly clear, some buried caveats but no traps
- 50-69: standard sweeps boilerplate, redemption rules require careful reading
- 30-49: misleading marketing vs ToS, hidden caps, complex playthrough lock-ins
- 0-29: explicit player-hostile clauses (refunds excluded, redemptions invalidatable at will, indefinite KYC freezes)

Evidence type: Operator terms. Reviewed and approved by Noah Rafkin on June 14, 2026.

The Terms-of-Service text is essentially absent (a 404 error page), providing no actual terms, redemption rules, dispute resolution, or class-action waiver information. This complete lack of transparency forces the score toward the lower end of the standard boilerplate range, as no player-hostile clauses are explicitly stated but no honest, clear terms are available either.

Playthrough 95

95/100, strong (70–100).

Rubric band (methodology)

The Playthrough factor (0-100) - 90-100: no playthrough or <=1x on Sweeps Coins purchased entries; 70-89: 1-3x wagering requirement on SC; 50-69: 3-5x on SC; 30-49: 5-10x on SC or confusing GC/SC mixing; 0-29: >=10x on SC, lifetime wagering caps, or unrecoverable bonus locks.

The official rule is a clear universal 1x requirement. The fixed rubric places no playthrough or requirements of 1x or less in the 90-100 band; 95 reflects the straightforward published 1x rule.

BonusBandit's notes on Modo

Our first-hand redemption record, mixed

Modo is an operator where our own redemption history cuts both ways, so we’ll give you both halves.

On one hand, we logged a redemption that was returned / refunded rather than paid out in early May 2026. In the site’s payout vocabulary that is a declared failure: negative evidence we publish, never counted as a payout. On the other hand, within days we also had a request approved and “sent to nominated account” (around 2026-05-02 and 05-03), which is a confirmed delivery with a date. So Modo did move money to us; it also bounced one back. The delivered table on the review page is the count of record; this note describes the split rather than restating a total.

The earlier record adds context: Modo had previously acknowledged our redemption requests with a quoted “processed within 48 business hours” service level, which is a reasonable, specific commitment, better than the brands that publish no timeline at all.

What this does and doesn’t establish

This is a documented-but-uneven payout picture, not a clean pass or a flat failure. We’re recording the return alongside the approvals rather than cherry-picking either. The practical read: Modo can and has sent funds, but a returned redemption in the mix means you should verify your payout details carefully, start with a small request, and confirm it lands before scaling up. See our methodology for how a mixed redemption record is scored.

Based on BonusBandit’s first-hand account experience (a redemption returned/refunded ~2026-05-01; other requests approved and sent ~05-02/05-03) and verified against our live database on 2026-06-26.

What's the daily bonus really worth?

A daily bonus is free play, but its real worth depends on how hard it is to clear and whether Modo actually pays out.

Observed daily reward 0.1 SC/day Measured Averaged in person over 4 logged observations (2026-08-16 → 2026-08-19). ~$34.68/year projected, at 1× playthrough, before payout risk

Risk to collect Slow / disputed payouts reported

Period GC accumulated SC accumulated Potential cash value
7 days 0.7 ~$0.67
30 days 3.0 ~$2.85
365 days (annualized) 36.5 ~$34.68

Annualized figures are a projection, not a promise. They assume you claim the bonus every day and Modo's bonus structure holds steady. Daily bonuses change often; values shown as of 2026-08-19.

Tested 4 days: 0.1 SC.

How this is calculated

We start from 0.1 SC per day (the average across the logged days), multiply by the number of days, divide by the playthrough (1× unless we've actually measured otherwise), then take a small RTP haircut, and nothing else. That's the value Modo offers:

  • playthrough 1× playthrough (the sweeps norm), then a 5% RTP haircut
  • ToS signal Modo's ToS playthrough language rates 95clean 1× playthrough. Almost every sweeps site is 1× in practice, so this is a TRUST read; it doesn't move the cash figure.

Why isn't redemption in the formula? Because how reliably Modo actually pays out is a separate question from how much it puts on the table. Discounting the dollar figure by redemption made a slow-paying operator look like it offered a smaller bonus, which is backwards. So payout reliability is shown above as the risk-to-collect badge, never baked into the number. Modo's redemption factor is 43slow / disputed payouts reported.

We assume 1 SC ≈ $1 at redemption and that you claim the bonus every day. Averaged in person over 4 logged observations (2026-08-16 → 2026-08-19). The annual figure assumes the bonus structure stays stable. Full formula on the methodology page.
