Smiles

Our record for Smiles is a registered account and five operator emails dated February 28 to April 21, 2026. It holds no purchase, no mailed card, no redemption request, no identity-document upload and no daily-claim log. We have not been paid by Smiles, so our own records cannot confirm that it pays.

On September 28, 2026 we read the July 14, 2026 Terms and Conditions of Use and Sweepstakes Rules, the FAQ, the Coins Guide, the promotions page and the help center. None of our five emails concerns a prize request, and the Terms were revised on July 1 and July 14, so a later request may fall under a version newer than July 14.

The July 14 Terms added Maine, and the sign-up box still shows an older list

Section 3 of the Terms requires players to be 21 or older and outside the excluded locations listed above. The July 1, 2026 Terms did not include Maine; the change note on the July 14 version says Smiles “is no longer available for users residing in Maine.”

The registration checkbox, last updated April 20, 2026, omits Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee and Maine. The App Store description for the version last updated May 14, 2026 omits those four plus Arizona, Illinois, Nevada and Utah. Rules section 6.d repeats the full Terms list as a condition of redeeming a prize, so a reader in Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee or Maine should rely on the Terms list over the checkbox.

Only Smile Coins won in play count toward the 100-coin minimum

Terms section 7 says Gold Coins “can never be redeemed” and Smile Coins “cannot be purchased”. Rules section 3 describes marked Gold Coin packs, promotions and mail as Smile Coin sources. Under the Coins Guide, every Smile Coin starts as Unplayed, and only prizes won by playing them return as Redeemable Smile Coins, worth $1 each under Rules section 4.d. The site banner says they “must be played at least once,” and the Terms and Rules do not print a numeric multiplier such as 1x.

Rules section 6 sets a 100 Redeemable Smile Coin minimum for verified accounts. Under the Terms, processing “may take up to five (5) business days.” Smiles may limit an account to one request per 24 hours and $10,000 a day. In Florida, the Terms cap the redemption value of a prize won on any one spin or play at $5,000, and a redemption of a prize valued above that “will not be allocated or paid.” Rules section 6.b sends cash to the purchase account, with a nominated bank account available only if that is technically impossible. A 2024 help article says the payments team “strives to approve redemption requests within 48 hours,” and gives no delivery time. The balance leaves the account on submission; we found no cancellation clause.

The free route is a 4 by 6 inch card mailed to P.O. Box 516, Newark, New York 14513, worth 2 Smile Coins. It needs a single-use Postal Request Code valid for 56 days and must be posted from the player’s verified home state. The Rules set no daily or weekly cap on cards and give no time for crediting one, so a reader who mails one should record its code and posting date.

Smiles’ ID checklist and inactivity clause impose separate deadlines

Terms section 6 lists ID, proof of address and a bank statement. A help article dated August 29, 2024 orders the steps as selfie with ID, address proof, then bank details, with the address proof and bank statement no older than 3 months. Section 3 lets Smiles close an account and withhold prizes if requested ID is not supplied within seven days, and section 9 requires the payment method to carry the account holder’s name. Our file holds a February 28, 2026 email titled “Phone Verified Successfully,” the phone step the Rules require before Smile Coins play.

Terms section 4 defines an inactive account as one holding Smile Coins that “has not been accessed for an uninterrupted period of 12 months.” A later sentence in the same section starts the closure process for “an account inactive for 180 days.” Smiles first tries to contact the holder; with no answer, or 14 more idle days after a reply, it may close the account, and its Smile Coins “may be subject to forfeiture.” A reader holding Smile Coins should measure idle time against the 180-day figure, the shorter of the two.

Smiles’ September 28 documents omit Smile Back and wheel prize tables

Our file keeps only the subject line of an April 21, 2026 promotional email, “Start building your next Smile Back.” Our September 8, 2026 note described its body as promising weekly rewards based on total play, win or lose, added automatically when eligible without an opt-in. That historical reading specified no rate, calculation or payment schedule; the body was unavailable for this review. No document we read on September 28 mentions it, and we hold no Smile Back credit, so we cannot confirm it still runs.

The promotions page on September 28 offers 1 million Gold Coins plus a Welcome Wheel Spin “with rewards up to 50 SC,” with no prize table. Rules section 3.b.iv gives the Daily Bonus Wheel “one of twelve possible rewards,” at random, once every 24 hours from the last spin; a 2024 help article instead puts the reset at midnight Eastern time. Smiles does not reconcile those clocks. As our September 8, 2026 note recorded, the promotions page says “The more days in a row you log in, the higher your reward!” It gives no amount for any day, and it says some tournaments and coin drops may need an invitation. The 50 SC is an upper reward; without prize tables we cannot give either wheel’s odds or typical amount.

Smiles routed our historical question toward partnerships

Our September 8, 2026 note records an August 24 launch-date enquiry and a reply about 69 minutes later directing it toward the partnership team, without a launch date. Smiles publishes no support hours, and the homepage’s Contact Us link read “Oops, looks like that page doesn’t exist” on September 28.

Terms section 17 starts a complaint with a written notice under the subject “DISPUTE”; after 30 days either side may go to binding JAMS arbitration in Delaware, with a class action waiver and a 30-day opt-out. Rules section 11 limits damages to “actual out-of-pocket expenses.” These Terms can change. This is information, not legal advice; a qualified lawyer can address a specific dispute.
