What the law says

Promoting gambling in the first degree — including 'setting up and operating a gambling device' — is a Class D felony (KRS 528.020(2)). Forfeiture and civil penalties are available under KRS 528.100. Player status is a defense to prosecution under the chapter (KRS 528.010(10)).
