What the law says

Gambling is a misdemeanor: up to 6 months' imprisonment and/or a $750 fine (§ 6-7-102(a)). Professional gambling is a felony: up to 3 years and/or $3,000 (§ 6-7-102(b)). Gambling devices, records, and proceeds are subject to seizure (§ 6-7-103).
