The headline percentages on a purchase page mix gross and net math, so they are hard to compare across operators. This calculator strips that away: enter what you paid and the SC included, and it returns the effective cost per redeemable SC, the value ratio against a standard 1 SC = $1 redemption, and the premium or rake versus fair value.
Formula: Effective cost per SC = package price ÷ SC included. Value ratio = (SC included × redemption rate) ÷ price. A value ratio above 1.0 means the redeemable coins are nominally worth more than you paid.
What is "effective cost per SC"? It is the price divided by the SC you receive. If $9.99 buys 30 SC, each redeemable SC cost about $0.33. Because most operators redeem SC at roughly 1 SC = $1, paying $0.33 for something redeemable at $1.00 is the structural edge that makes these packages look attractive — before playthrough, redemption minimums, and KYC are factored in.
Why does fair value matter? A value ratio of 1.0 means you paid exactly the redemption value of the coins. Above 1.0, the package is nominally in your favor; below 1.0 (as with some large "best value" bundles) you are paying more than the SC can redeem for. The premium line shows that gap in dollars.
